Assistance Fund
The GEU understands that working as a graduate employee can mean having little or no safety net for emergencies, unexpected expenditures, and other surprise financial needs. We are proud to offer a financial Assistance Fund to support our members in times of need.
GEU members in good standing are eligible to apply for emergency funding in the amount of up to $1400 through the Assistance Fund. Funds are allocated based on need and our goal is to approve as many funding applications as possible. The Assistance Fund applications are accepted on a rolling deadline, with applications closing on the 4th of each month and rolling over to the next month’s disbursement.

AFT-Oregon 2025 Scholarships
GEU’s parent union, the American Federation of Teachers provides educational scholarships to members, and all GEU members in good standing are eligible to apply.
AFT-Oregon is pleased to invite members in good standing with their local to apply for educational scholarships for 2025. There are four scholarships available, and each scholarship winner will receive $3000. The scholarships will be awarded at the AFT-Oregon Convention on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
Applications must be postmarked or time stamped by midnight March 17, 2025.
